In honour of International Women's Day, Analisa has beautifully photographed 30 remarkable women, showcasing their unique stories and celebrating their achievements, with the works to launch at a showing on 9th March at Mo’s Desert Nightclub in Burleigh from 1pm-4pm.

When I met Analisa I wanted her to show the amputees could still be beautiful, and that's just what she did."

"This artwork has definitely made me rediscover my feminine and made me feel like I am not invisible as a women in her early 50's. In a world so focused on youth as beauty and with menopause still being a subject we don’t talk about enough with a negative stigma attached to it, I wanted to change that narrative in my head and perhaps on a wider scale."

'CHARLOTTE'
"I’ve never tried to be a woman but I love going out and feeling the buzz of wearing the feminine clothing and being a star of my own show! Dressing feminine is empowering because I get attention and in a way, I’m separated from the past, when being a man made me feel angry and not loved. Taking on the character of Charlotte has empowered me, given me a release from normality and proven that the female form can be very powerful."

'FUCK YOU, I'M DOING IT'
"67 but still a kid at heart, with no filter! I’m independent, have morals and I believe I’m quite strong when it comes to other’s pain.
I will give cheek to anyone, I’m brazen, cheeky, stubborn and do things my way. What you see is pretty much what you get and I swear like a sailor.
Yet my motto is Fortitude and Prudence, that is so my Dad.
And last but not least, if I was meant to be controlled my dear, I would have come with a remote."

THE ARTIST
"I have been shooting incredible inspiring women for that last year for this exhibition. It has been a challenging, uplifting and cathartic journey for both me and my subjects. I do love showing a different side, challenging norms of society. I love it when women walk out of my studio more confident in themselves and feeling more at peace with where they are in their lives. The diversity of these 'everyday' women that I've shot is the most interesting thing to me. We might start the shoot with a totally different concept, but the creative process leads us to where we intrinsically should be. It heals the character and pacifies the soul. It's a very satisfying journey, and that's why I love portrait photography."
